Rescue Exercise in "Øresund"
Created 01-12-2008 16:17:44 by Ole LyngenboOn 3 November 2008 kl. 19.00 gave the Swedish MRCC coordinates to the rescue units to participate in a rescue exercise. There were 10 units from Helsingborg, Mill, Höganäs, Barcebäck, Lomma and Helsinore.
MRCC was late afternoon seized 12 items. We divided the vessels into 3 units. Helsinore rescue involved with our newest boat "Kronborg" which should take 3 objects in the waters north of Hven.
By adjusting for the wind and currents, and using searchlights boat managed to find the 3 objects in 20 minutes.
The Danish crew, Preben Lind and Tage Christensen, was highly satisfied with Crowned's performance under difficult conditions.
Kronborg became operational in May 2008 and is equipped with the latest navigational equipment.
The boat was bought after donations from "Denmark Nordea Fund", "Tryg Foundation" and "the JL Foundation".
